Inter Collective is the collaborative practice of Anna Cocks, Claire Krouzecky and Laura Hindmarsh, encompassing installation and live performance. Inter Collective explores art as social interaction and expresses an excitement and optimism towards people and human relations. Their work seeks strangeness in the familiar, intimacy in the spectacle and the personal in the social. They insist on an art that is responsive and not based on predetermined outcomes, favouring an accumulative process that requires exchange and dialogue. ‘Inter’ suggests the space between – the process itself – a reciprocal relationship between artist and audience.
